Robert got into technology through curiosity: how a connection reaches a home, why a device stops responding, and what it takes to make it work again. He studied information technology and networking at a community college in California.

Paying for school was the hard part. He worked shifts at McDonald's and later drove for Uber on evenings and weekends to cover tuition, rent and everyday costs. Some days began in a lecture hall and ended behind the wheel.

There were months when paying one bill meant putting off another. He kept going back to class anyway. He had worked too hard to let one difficult month decide his future.

At GeoLinks he turned that interest into practical telecom experience. He saw what a dropped connection means to the person on the other end: interrupted work, a family evening cut short, a call with someone far away. He also learned to listen, because customers rarely know the technical name for a problem. They only know what stopped working.

As a freelancer he set up TVs, connected streaming devices, fixed home Wi-Fi and got home entertainment systems running. He also bought, checked and resold used TVs, including through Facebook Marketplace. Every buyer had a different budget and different questions.

Those house calls led him to IPTV and cable-free TV. He learned that a service can run perfectly on one setup and struggle on another, and that useful advice has to fit the person using it.
