The Texas Tech TV channel in Amarillo

Texas Tech's Big 12 games are split among ESPN's networks, FOX's networks and, since 2025, TNT Sports. In Amarillo, the ESPN side's broadcast games air on ABC 7 KVII, and the FOX side's on FOX 14 KCIT, both free with an antenna. Both stations are on the RabbitEars Amarillo market list, and our Amarillo TV stations guide shows where to aim.

  • ABC 7 and ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+: the ESPN package.
  • FOX 14 and FS1: the FOX package. Tech opened 2026 Big 12 play against Houston on FOX on September 18.
  • TNT and truTV: added for Big 12 football in the 2025 media deal.

Tech hosts TCU on Thanksgiving night, November 26, on ESPN. The Big 12 Championship Game follows on ABC on Friday, December 4, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. For most other games, the conference names the network only six to 12 days ahead, so check Texas Tech Athletics each week.

Red Raiders basketball follows a similar split, with Big 12 games across FOX, ESPN and TNT. For a full Lubbock-side view of Tech on TV, see our Texas Tech Red Raiders on TV guide.

West Texas A&M Buffaloes

West Texas A&M, in Canyon, plays in the Lone Star Conference, whose games stream on FloCollege. The conference signed an exclusive five-year media deal with FloSports in 2024, and FloCollege remains its primary streaming home for 2026-27.

That covers home football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and softball, plus conference tournaments. FloCollege's Standard Plan costs $24.99 a month or $119.88 a year, according to the conference's 2026-27 announcement; students at partner schools pay less. It runs on phones, the web, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV and several smart TVs.

The IPTVZ catalogue of October 16, 2026 also listed Buffaloes events on its Flo Network channels that week. Among them were football against Eastern New Mexico on October 17, plus women's volleyball and soccer.

Amarillo Sod Poodles

The Sod Poodles, Amarillo's Double-A baseball team, play at Hodgetown downtown. In 2026, every game was on NewsTalk 940 AM. On TV, KFDA's NewsChannel 10 Too, channel 10.2, carried 12 Sunday night games from April 5 to September 13.

That TV deal came from a partnership between the team and Gray Media, KFDA's owner, which means those games were free over the air. The 2027 home opener is Tuesday, April 6, at Hodgetown, with top prospects from the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, according to the Sod Poodles' official site.

NFL Sundays in the Panhandle

Sunday afternoon NFL games air on CBS 10 KFDA and FOX 14 KCIT, and Sunday night games on NBC 4 KAMR. Monday night games are on ESPN, sometimes simulcast on ABC 7. CBS and FOX assign regional games by market, so the afternoon game you see is the one picked for Amarillo.

For a team outside the region, there's NFL Sunday Ticket. New YouTube TV members pay $240, existing members $378, and it costs $480 on its own. The IPTVZ panel includes NFL RedZone and per-game NFL Sunday Ticket channels. Our guide to the cheapest way to watch the NFL lays out every option.

Longhorns and Aggies

Texas and Texas A&M play in the SEC, whose games air on ABC, ESPN, SEC Network and ESPN+. In Amarillo, the ABC games come free on KVII 7. The rest need a service that carries the ESPN networks and SEC Network.

SEC Network is in the IPTVZ catalogue, along with ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Our Longhorns TV guide covers the SEC schedule in depth.
