Hulu + Live TV Price in 2026: What $99.99 Gets You and How to Pay Less

By

Hulu + Live TV costs $99.99 a month in 2026, with ads, and $109.99 a month for the Premium plan without ads. Both include Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select. The price went up $10 for new members on September 23, 2026. Existing members pay it from their first bill on or after October 21.

That puts the no-ads plan over $100 a month and the regular plan one cent under it. To be fair, you get three streaming services thrown in. Whether that is a bargain or a very expensive way to watch Bluey depends on how many of them your household opens. This guide breaks the $99.99 into its parts and compares it with YouTube TV, Fubo and cheaper routes.

Hulu + Live TV price in 2026: $99.99 a month with ads, $109.99 for Premium without ads, $49.99 for the first month, and Unlimited Screens at $9.99 a month

Hulu + Live TV prices in 2026

There are two main Hulu + Live TV plans: $99.99 a month with ads and $109.99 a month without. The difference is the on-demand side. Live channels carry ads on both, as they do on cable.

PlanMonthly priceWhat changes
Hulu + Live TV (with ads)$99.99Live channels, plus Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select with ads
Hulu + Live TV Premium$109.99Same live channels, ad-free Disney+ and Hulu on demand
Unlimited Screens add-on$9.99More than 2 screens at once at home

Prices from StreamingMediaBlog's report of September 26, 2026. Disney's bundle page of October 2026 lists the plan as "Hulu + Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN Select." Taxes are extra in many states.

Hulu has also sold a Live TV Only plan without the streaming apps. Its listings have been patchy since the increase, so check Hulu's sign-up page if you only want the live channels.

What the $99.99 is made of

Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select would cost $26.98 a month on their own, so the live channels make up about $73 of the price. That is the number to compare with other live-TV services.

  • Disney+ and Hulu with ads, as Disney's own two-service bundle: $12.99 a month after the 2026 increase.
  • ESPN Select: $13.99 a month since September 17, 2026. It is the former ESPN+, with ESPN's streaming events but not the live ESPN channels.
  • The live channels: your local stations, ESPN and its sister networks, FOX's sports channels, news, entertainment and kids' channels, with unlimited DVR.

Our finding: If you already pay for Disney+ and Hulu, Hulu + Live TV costs you about $87 a month more, not $99.99. If nobody in the house opens Disney+ or Hulu, you are paying $26.98 a month, $323.76 a year, for apps you don't use.

A household that would buy the Disney apps anyway gets a fair deal. One that only wants live sports and news pays the most of any big service, and that's the household this guide is mostly for.

The September 2026 increase

Hulu + Live TV went from $89.99 to $99.99 on September 23, 2026, for new members. Existing members see the new price on their first bill on or after October 21, 2026, depending on their billing date.

The Premium plan rose by the same $10, to $109.99. Disney+ and Hulu on their own went up the same day. Variety counted it as the fourth round of Disney streaming increases in four years.

If you are an existing member and your next bill lands before October 21, that bill is still $89.99. It is the last one at that price, so it's a good moment to decide whether you'll keep it.

Every Hulu + Live TV price since 2017

Hulu + Live TV launched at $39.99 in May 2017 and now costs $99.99, two and a half times as much. The price has gone up eight times, almost always in the autumn.

Hulu + Live TV price history from 2017 to 2026: $39.99 at launch in May 2017, $44.99 in February 2019, $54.99 in December 2019, $64.99 in December 2020, $69.99 in December 2021, $76.99 in October 2023, $82.99 in October 2024, $89.99 in October 2025 and $99.99 in September 2026

December 2021$69.99+$5, with Disney+ and ESPN+ added
October 2023$76.99+$7
October 2024$82.99+$6
October 2025$89.99+$7
September 2026$99.99+$10

Dates from the Hulu article on Wikipedia, 9to5Mac for 2019, BetaNews for 2024 and Cord Cutters News for 2025. Since 2021, each increase has come with a bigger bundle around the live channels, which makes the jump easier to sell and harder to avoid.

Screens, DVR and the first-month deal

The base price includes unlimited DVR and 2 screens at the same time. A third screen needs the Unlimited Screens add-on at $9.99 a month.

  • Unlimited DVR has been included since late 2021, so recording a whole season costs nothing extra.
  • Two screens is tight for a family. YouTube TV allows 3, and Fubo's full plans more. Adding Unlimited Screens takes the ad plan to $109.98 a month.
  • The first-month deal. In October 2026, Hulu advertised $49.99 for the first month of the plan with ads, ending October 26, 2026. After that, it's $99.99.

Hulu + Live TV vs YouTube TV vs Fubo

Hulu + Live TV is now the most expensive of the three big live-TV streamers, by $11 to $17 a month before fees. It's also the only one with Disney+ and Hulu included.

Bar chart of a year of live TV streaming in 2026: Hulu + Live TV Premium $1,319.88, Fubo Pro with a $15.99 sports fee $1,259.76, Hulu + Live TV with ads $1,199.88, YouTube TV $995.88, Sling Orange and Blue $731.88, and IPTVZ 12 months on 2 devices $119.99

Sling Orange & Blue$60.99Up to 4None, fewer local stations

Competitor prices as listed by StreamingMediaBlog in September 2026. IPTVZ's 12-month plan is $74.99 for one device and $119.99 for two, the same screen count as Hulu + Live TV without the add-on.

The Fubo connection

Hulu + Live TV and Fubo have been run by the same company since October 2025, and Disney owns about 70% of it. Disney now reports their subscribers together, and Fubo's chief executive since July 2026 is former Disney+ president Alisa Bowen.

Some analysts expect Disney to fold Hulu + Live TV into Fubo one day, though Disney hasn't announced that. For now, nothing changes for members: two apps, two prices, two lineups. If you're choosing between them, our Fubo price guide covers its sports fee and the cheaper Fubo Sports plan.

Cheaper ways to get the same TV

The cheapest way to rebuild Hulu + Live TV is to split it into its parts. Pick only the pieces you watch.

  1. Keep the Disney apps, drop the live part. Disney+ and Hulu with ads cost $12.99 together, and that saves $87 a month.
  2. Get the locals free. An antenna, $25 to $60 once, brings in ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS in most cities. Our local channels by state guide lists the stations for each market.
  3. Add ESPN on its own if sports are the reason you subscribed. ESPN Unlimited costs $31.99 a month and includes the live ESPN channels. For football, our cheapest way to watch the NFL guide prices each route for the season.
  4. Or cover the live channels with IPTVZ. It carries your local stations, ESPN, FS1, CNN, Fox News, HGTV, Disney Channel and NFL RedZone for $74.99 a year on one device.

Put together, Disney+ and Hulu with ads plus a 12-month IPTVZ plan for two devices cost $275.87 for the year. Hulu + Live TV with ads costs $1,199.88. Our guide to the cheapest live TV with local channels ranks every option by yearly cost.

Who still gets good value from it

Hulu + Live TV is worth its price mainly to households that would pay for Disney+ and Hulu anyway. It also suits you if:

  • Disney+, Hulu and live TV in one app matters more to you than the monthly total.
  • You watch Hulu's originals and FX shows as much as live channels.
  • Two screens are enough, so you never need the $9.99 add-on.
  • You record a lot, since unlimited DVR comes with it.

If the live channels are the part you actually watch, the bundle is padding. Coming from cable? Our breakdown of how much cable costs a month puts the $99.99 in context. Our IPTV vs cable and streaming pillar guide sets out what each kind of service costs over a year.
