YouTube TV plans and prices in 2026
YouTube TV now sells a full plan and several smaller genre plans, from $54.99 to $82.99 a month. The smaller plans arrived in February 2026. Before that, there was one plan and one price, and you took it or left it.
| Plan | Regular price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube TV (main plan) | $82.99 a month | 100+ channels, including locals, sports, news, entertainment and kids |
| Sports + News | $71.99 a month | 50+ channels: locals, the sports networks and national news |
| News + Entertainment + Family | $69.99 a month | Locals, national news, entertainment and kids' channels |
| Sports | $64.99 a month | 30+ channels: locals, ESPN's networks, FS1 and other sports networks |
| Entertainment | $54.99 a month | Locals plus channels such as FX, Bravo, Hallmark, Food Network and HGTV |
We checked the main, Sports and Sports + News prices on YouTube TV's own page on October 17 and 19, 2026. The full plans page only opens after sign-in. So the Entertainment and News + Entertainment + Family prices come from TechCrunch's launch report of February 9, 2026. TechCrunch counted more than 10 plan options at launch, so your sign-in page may show a few more.
Every plan includes your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC stations, as long as YouTube TV carries them in your ZIP code. Type your ZIP into the channel lookup on the welcome page before you pay. It takes ten seconds and settles the question for your address.
What the $82.99 actually buys
The main plan's price covers the channels, unlimited DVR, 6 household accounts and 3 streams at the same time. YouTube TV doesn't rent you a box, so there is no equipment line on the bill.
- Unlimited DVR space for every account. Recordings expire after 9 months, which is generous unless you are still saving the 2025 season finale.
- 6 household accounts, each with its own login, library and recommendations.
- 3 simultaneous streams. A fourth screen in the house waits, unless you pay for 4K Plus.
- Multiview, up to 4 games on one screen, plus Key Plays and Stats views for sports.
The main plan also carries ESPN and ABC again after a two-week blackout in late 2025. Disney's channels went dark on YouTube TV on October 30, 2025. The deal that brought them back came on November 14, as NewscastStudio reported. Under that deal, base-plan members are due to get ESPN Unlimited content inside YouTube TV at no extra cost.
The new-member deals
New members pay $59.99 a month for the first 2 months of the main plan, which saves $46. On Sports + News, the deal is bigger: $49.99 a month for 5 months, then $71.99, which saves $110.
Both offers end on November 16, 2026, according to YouTube TV's welcome page on October 19. They are for new members only and come with no refunds. The 10-day free trial runs first, so you can test the service before the discounted months begin.
Here is the catch most people miss. A two-month discount lowers year one from $995.88 to $949.88. That's a 4.6% saving, not a new price. Month 3 lands at $82.99 like everyone else's.
Add-on prices
Add-ons are where a YouTube TV bill quietly climbs past $100. These are the prices YouTube TV lists for 2026:
| Add-on | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 4K Plus | $9.99 a month | Unlimited streams at home, offline recordings and 4K on some programs |
| NFL RedZone with Sports Plus | $10.99 a month | NFL RedZone and 13+ extra sports networks |
| Spanish Plus | $14.99 a month | Extra Spanish-language networks, telenovelas and sports |
| Entertainment Plus | $29.99 a month | HBO Max, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and STARZ |
| Premium networks | From $1.99 a month | Single channels such as ALLBLK, MGM+ and Shudder |
| NFL Sunday Ticket | From $240 a season | Out-of-market Sunday afternoon NFL games |
A common sports-fan setup is the main plan plus 4K Plus and RedZone. That's $103.97 a month before tax, which is cable money with better apps.
NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV
For the 2026 season, NFL Sunday Ticket starts at $240 for new YouTube TV members and costs $378 for existing ones. Buying it on its own through YouTube Primetime Channels costs $480, according to 9to5Google on September 10, 2026.
Sunday Ticket covers out-of-market Sunday afternoon games only. Your local team's games still air on your local CBS or FOX station, and prime-time games are on NBC, ESPN and Amazon. YouTube TV's terms add one more condition: cancel YouTube TV, and Sunday Ticket goes with it, with no refunds.
Our finding: An existing member who keeps the main plan all year and adds Sunday Ticket pays $1,373.88. That is $995.88 for twelve months of the plan plus $378 for the season. The plan stays on in the off-season too, because YouTube TV only sells Sunday Ticket as an add-on to an active plan.
Our guide to the cheapest way to watch NFL games compares every route to a full season, from a $30 antenna up.
Taxes and the "no hidden fees" promise
YouTube TV has no box fee, DVR fee, broadcast fee or cancellation fee, but many states add tax. That's an honest pitch, and a real difference from a cable bill. Cable companies charge a separate fee for carrying local stations, which can run $20 or more a month, as our guide to what cable costs a month shows.
Tax is the part YouTube TV doesn't control. Its help page on taxes says your bill can include sales or communications taxes, depending on where you live. In a state with a high communications tax, $82.99 can become $90 or more. Your exact amount appears under Settings, then Billing.
YouTube TV price history
YouTube TV's main plan has gone from $34.99 in 2017 to $82.99 in 2026, an increase of 137%. The price rose five times in eight years, and no existing member was ever grandfathered in at the old rate.

| Date | Monthly price | Increase |
|---|---|---|
| April 2017 (launch) | $34.99 | - |
| March 2018 | $39.99 | +$5 |
| April 2019 | $49.99 | +$10 |
| June 2020 | $64.99 | +$15 |
| March 2023 | $72.99 | +$8 |
| December 2024 for new members, January 13, 2025 for existing ones | $82.99 | +$10 |
Dates and prices from the YouTube TV article on Wikipedia and TheWrap's report on the last increase. Each time, YouTube TV pointed to the rising cost of content, meaning the fees channel owners charge to carry their networks.
The 2025 Disney blackout showed the same pressure from the other side. When a channel owner and a TV service can't agree on that fee, the channel disappears until they do. The genre plans are YouTube TV's first real answer to the price problem, since they let you stop paying for channels you never open.
What a year of YouTube TV costs
A year on the main plan costs $995.88, and adding 4K Plus pushes it to $1,115.76. The chart puts each common setup next to a 12-month IPTVZ plan for the same three screens.

| Setup for 12 months | Monthly | Year |
|---|---|---|
| Main plan + NFL Sunday Ticket (existing member) | $82.99 + $378 a season | $1,373.88 |
| Main plan + 4K Plus | $92.98 | $1,115.76 |
| Main plan | $82.99 | $995.88 |
| Main plan, new member | $59.99 for 2 months, then $82.99 | $949.88 |
| Sports + News | $71.99 | $863.88 |
| Sports | $64.99 | $779.88 |
| Entertainment | $54.99 | $659.88 |
| IPTVZ, 12 months, 3 devices | One payment | $149.99 |
All YouTube TV figures are before tax. The IPTVZ row is the 12-month plan for 3 devices, which matches YouTube TV's 3 streams. On one device, it's $74.99 for the year.
Six ways to pay less for YouTube TV
The easiest saving is picking a smaller plan you will actually use. After that, the savings come from timing and from skipping extras.
- Drop to a genre plan. If nobody in the house watches Bravo or Nickelodeon, the Sports plan saves $18 a month, or $216 a year.
- Use the new-member offer, but only if you are truly new. It ends November 16, 2026.
- Pause in the off-season. YouTube TV lets you pause for 4 weeks up to 6 months, and you keep your recordings. A football-first household can pause from February through July. Note that a pause can end a running discount.
- Skip 4K Plus unless you have a 4K TV and four people streaming at once. Only some programs are in 4K.
- Share the plan inside your household. Six accounts are included at no extra cost, so a separate plan for a teenager is money you don't need to spend.
- Put the free locals on an antenna and pick a cheaper service for cable channels. That's the move behind most of the alternatives below.
The same channels for less
If $82.99 a month is too much, there are three cheaper routes, depending on what you watch.
- An antenna picks up ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS free in most cities. That covers most NFL Sundays, the local news and the network shows. It costs $25 to $60 once.
- Another live-TV service. Sling TV's prices start much lower, but its cheapest plans skip most local stations. Fubo's prices lean into sports, and Hulu + Live TV's price includes Disney+ and Hulu. Our cheapest live TV with local channels guide ranks them all on price.
- IPTVZ carries ESPN, FS1, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NFL Sunday Ticket channels, CNN, Fox News, HGTV and Bravo, plus local stations across the US. It costs $74.99 a year for one device and runs on a Firestick, Smart TV or phone, as our Firestick setup guide shows.
Here is the honest trade-off. IPTVZ has no cloud DVR like YouTube TV's 9-month library. In our panel catalogue of October 16, 2026, 485 US channels offer catch-up of 1 to 3 days. If you record a lot of shows to watch weeks later, YouTube TV does that better. If you watch live, the price gap is hard to ignore.
Compare it on your own TV first
Start a free 24-hour IPTVZ trial and watch your local stations, ESPN and the news side by side with YouTube TV's 10-day trial. No card needed for ours.
Who should keep paying $82.99
YouTube TV is still one of the most polished live-TV services, and for some homes the price is fair. Keep it if:
- You record more than you watch live. Unlimited DVR with 9-month storage is the feature nobody else matches at this price.
- Several people watch different things at once and want their own profiles and recordings.
- You want one big company behind it, with 24/7 phone support and a no-contract cancel button.
- You already planned to buy Sunday Ticket and the $240 new-member price applies to you.
If you mostly watch live sports and the news, and the bill bothers you every month, that's your answer too. Our pillar guide on IPTV vs cable and streaming compares the full costs.
