IPTV in East Texas: Tyler, Longview and Lufkin Channels, Sports and Prices

By

IPTV in East Texas brings ABC 7 KLTV, CBS 19 KYTX, NBC 56 KETK and FOX 51 KFXK into one app over your internet connection. IPTVZ also lists Shreveport's KTBS, KSLA, KTAL and KMSS, plus a PBS feed and Univision, two networks with no station on the air here. A year on one device costs $74.99; the trial is free for 24 hours.

Few TV markets make antennas harder than this one. From Tyler, the four network towers sit in four directions; from Lufkin, three of them are 44 to 65 miles away. Marshall leans toward Louisiana. IPTV sidesteps all of it, because the signal comes down the same line as your internet. Here's what that gets an East Texas home, what it costs and where it falls short.

What IPTV does that a Tyler antenna can't

East Texas antenna trouble comes from geography, not equipment. Internet TV, or IPTV, replaces the broadcast signal with a stream, so none of these matter:

  • Tyler's scattered towers. ABC 7 is north-northeast, NBC 56 south, FOX 51 east-southeast and CBS 19 south-southeast. One antenna rarely gets all four.
  • ABC on VHF. KLTV broadcasts on VHF 7, which many flat antennas handle poorly.
  • Lufkin's distances. CBS 19 is 44 miles away, NBC 56 is 61 and FOX 51's main tower is 65.
  • The pines. Tall timber between you and a tower costs signal that no amplifier gives back.

Our Tyler-Longview TV stations guide maps the towers if you'd still like to try an antenna.

With IPTVZ, a Longview or Marshall home doesn't have to choose a market.

Names as they appear in our panel catalogue of October 16, 2026. Lufkin's KTRE isn't part of the lineup. KLTV carries the same ABC programs, with Tyler's newscasts instead of Lufkin's. For a Longview family, that means CBS 19 for Gregg County news and KSLA for Louisiana weather, on the same remote. Our Longview TV guide explains why the city sits between the two.

PBS and Univision, finally

No PBS station and no Univision station broadcasts from inside the Tyler-Longview market. RabbitEars' station list for the market shows neither.

The IPTVZ catalogue fills both. It has a PBS HD feed and PBS Kids in the US section. In the Latino section, Univision appears in several city feeds, including Dallas and Austin. Telemundo, which East Texas does get over the air on 7.3 and 9.2, is there too.

Football season

Saturdays and Sundays are where IPTV earns its keep in East Texas. Longhorns and Aggies games air on ABC, ESPN and SEC Network, and SEC Network is in the IPTVZ lineup. On Sundays, CBS 19 and FOX 51 carry the regional NFL games.

The panel also has NFL RedZone and NFL Sunday Ticket channels, one per game, for fans of teams outside Texas. Our guide to the cheapest way to watch the NFL compares the official options.

The internet side

Tyler and Longview's cable company is Optimum, the brand that replaced Suddenlink, which bought Cox's East Texas systems in 2007. Xfinity lists Marshall and Waskom among its Texas service areas. Other providers, including fiber and 5G home internet, reach some addresses, so check the FCC National Broadband Map for your address.

Plan on about 15 Mbps for each HD screen and 25 for 4K. Optimum's 300 Mbps plan, listed by The Senior List at $25 a month with Auto Pay, has plenty of room. Our guide to leaving Optimum in Tyler and Longview runs the internet-plus-TV math.

IPTV prices against cable

Twelve months of IPTVZ for one TV cost $74.99. YouTube TV bills $82.99 for one month.

Where IPTV falls short

  • Weak rural connections. If your line struggles with video calls, it will struggle with live TV.
  • Power and internet outages. During a storm, a battery-powered TV and an antenna still pull in KLTV; IPTV needs a working connection.
  • Saving shows for later. If you missed Tuesday's KLTV news, catch-up has it for a few days on 485 US channels. There's no DVR library that lasts a season.
  • Lufkin's own ABC newscasts. KTRE isn't part of the IPTVZ lineup.
