Kingsville TX TV Channels: Coastal Bend Stations, Tower Distances and Antenna Tips
Kingsville, TX TV channels are the Corpus Christi stations: ABC 3 KIII, NBC 6 KRIS, CBS 10 KZTV, PBS 16 KEDT, Univision 28 KORO and FOX 38 KSCC. Their towers stand about 18 to 23 miles northeast, near Robstown, and Telemundo 47 has its own repeater for Kingsville and Alice. The same holds for most of the Coastal Bend, from Alice to Rockport.
Kingsville has a university, a naval air station and a ranch bigger than Rhode Island, but no TV station of its own. Everything comes up the road from the Robstown towers that serve Corpus Christi. Whether that works well depends on distance and on VHF, since ABC 3 and CBS 10 both use it. This guide covers Kingsville and the other Coastal Bend towns. You'll see which way to point, how far the towers are, and what to do when the antenna isn't enough.

How far each Coastal Bend town is from the towers
The Robstown tower cluster is close to some Coastal Bend towns and far from others, and that decides what antenna you need. We computed the distance and direction from each town to the KIII, KRIS and KZTV transmitters.
| Town | Distance to the towers | Point the antenna |
|---|---|---|
| Robstown | 4 to 10 miles | Varies, they're nearby |
| Bishop | 13 to 17 miles | Northeast |
| Kingsville | 18 to 23 miles | Northeast |
| Portland | 19 to 23 miles | Southwest |
| Sinton | 20 to 27 miles | South |
| Alice | 27 to 29 miles | East |
| Port Aransas | 34 to 36 miles | West |
| Rockport | 38 to 42 miles | Southwest |
| Beeville | 45 to 52 miles | South |

Under about 25 miles, a decent indoor or attic antenna with VHF usually works. Past 30 miles, plan on an outdoor antenna mounted high. Beeville, at around 50 miles, is at the edge of the market. Up the coast, Victoria has its own TV stations and its own market.
Antenna setup south and west of Corpus Christi
- Get VHF and UHF. ABC 3 and CBS 10 broadcast on VHF, so a UHF-only flat antenna will likely miss them in Kingsville.
- Point northeast from Kingsville, or follow the table above for your town.
- Mount it high. At 18 miles and more, the roof or attic beats a window.
- Scan, then check 3.1 and 10.1. Those VHF stations are the hardest; if they play, the rest should too.

Telemundo's repeaters for Kingsville, Alice and Beeville
Telemundo 47 runs two low-power repeaters for the outer Coastal Bend. K31KK-D serves Kingsville and Alice, and K09YZ-D serves Beeville and Refugio. Both keep the 47.1 and 47.2 channel numbers, so a TV in Kingsville shows Telemundo exactly as it would in Corpus Christi.
Telemundo also rides on KZTV's 10.2, from the main Robstown cluster. If one copy is weak at your house, try the other. Our Corpus Christi TV stations guide explains who runs each station.
NAS Kingsville and military households
Naval Air Station Kingsville trains Navy and Marine Corps jet pilots, so many local households come from somewhere else. For them, the hometown news is often the channel they miss most.
An antenna can't help there; it only receives the Corpus Christi market. IPTVZ carries local stations from markets across the US, which lets a family keep its home-state news and NFL team's local broadcasts. Our local channels by state guide shows the coverage.

Kingsville households can watch with an antenna, a streaming service or IPTV.

The Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville play NCAA Division II football in the Lone Star Conference, and their games are mostly streamed rather than televised. Our guide to IPTV in Corpus Christi covers internet speed and setup, which work the same in Kingsville.
